SPEARSVILLE — Hickory Ridge Civic League and Community Center, 2314 Hickory Ridge Lane, is open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursdays, with lunch at 11:30 a.m.

There will be no Hoosier Hills Food pickup in August.

Thursday, Aug. 17: Lunch at Christian church. Bus leaves Hickory Ridge at 10 a.m.

Saturday, Aug. 19: Sausage gravy breakfast, 8 to 11 a.m. Menu includes biscuits, sausage gravy, fried potatoes, eggs, sausage links, pancakes and drink, $5 per adult, $3 per child.

Thursday, Aug. 24: Trip to T.C. Steele State Historic Site. Bring sack lunch. Bus leaves Hickory Ridge at 10 a.m.

Monday, Aug. 28: Civic League meeting, 6 p.m.

Thursday, Aug. 31: Cards, puzzles or walking track, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.; nurse’s visit, 10 to 11 a.m.
