Subway No. 11240, 284 S. Van Buren St.: Complainant stated her husband ordered a seafood sub May 18 that tasted “funny.” When he returned the sub, the counter person offered to make him a new sub, but all the containers of the seafood mix were expired. The health inspector consulted with Subway manager, who was present at the time of the incident. The product was NOT expired; customer misunderstood. They exchanged for a meatball sub. No product is held past expiration time and date and it is tracked daily on a sheet. If a product is expiring that day then it is discarded when the time of expiration is reached. (complaint)
