Indiana Department of Transportation maintenance personnel will replace a drainage structure under Nelson Ridge Road on the north side of State Road 46 near the Brown-Bartholomew county line, weather permitting, on Tuesday, Aug. 29.

Flaggers will direct motorists around crews and equipment working at the site on Nelson Ridge Road, and occasionally on State Road 46, INDOT reports. There will be periods of time when the Brown County road is completely closed to traffic while INDOT excavates across the pavement to replace a 12-inch drainage pipe measuring 50 feet in length, INDOT said.

Tuesday’s work is scheduled to begin after 7 a.m. and continue through mid-afternoon.
