Letter: BETA, KOW thankful for community’s support so far

To the editor:

BETA (Brown County Enrichment for Teens Association) and KOW (Kids on Wheels) committee would like to thank all the following individuals and organizations for successfully supporting the 4-H Fair booth participation in 2017. We are especially proud of many BETA and KOW teens who have actively taken part in this great endeavor to share the mission and vision of the teen park with the community.

Our huge thanks go to those teens: Isaiah Smith, Emma Snyder, Chris Hayes, Parker Scott, Elise Slaybaugh, Caitlin Kobiernik, Kyle Wilkins, Daylen Dees and Matthew Justin. Also, our big thanks to KOW adult volunteers Colleen and Scott Smith, and Kevin and Marlene Snyder for helping at the booth, and Karen Scott and Tori Norman for their special support.

Also our great thanks to supporters and donors to the $10,000 matching fund by the Brown County Community Foundation: Mrs. George Slaybaugh, Shirley Boardman, Peg Lindenlaub, Bob Kirlin, Lora Rudd, Rick and Misty Sawyers, and Don and Vince Bennitt. Also, other big thanks to Larry Pejeau, Mary Mclnerney, Vicki Kirby and Jenise Bohbrink of Brown County Community Foundation for providing the donation letters and envelopes, and Denise Broussard of 4-H Fair for specially arranging the booth space. And our special thanks to Hyesook, Shinil and the Seung Han family from South Korea for their support and donation.

BETA and Kids on Wheels will continue to thank all the other individuals and organizations that support us in the future and will keep working to make our teen park a reality. Please attend the next commissioners meeting on Wednesday, Sept. 6 at 9 a.m. to show your support for Kids on Wheels and the teen park project to be embraced and approved by the commissioners and the county.

We will also continue to appreciate your donation to our $10,000 matching fund to be mailed to BCCF, P.O. Box 191, Nashville, IN with a memo of KOW.

Respectfully submitted,

Clara Stanley, BETA president and KOW committee
