Letter: Despite debate, tourists still enjoy visits here

To the editor:

We have been coming to Brown County for 30 years, visiting several times during the year. I guess that makes us “tacky tourists”?

Tim Clark’s column Aug. 30 gave Nashville several options to consider and how much it will depend on the “tacky tourist” dollar.

Whatever we are called, the shop owners are happy when we make purchases and return another time. I always look forward to coming to “the hills.”

Sally Allison, Houston, Ohio

Editor’s note: To clarify, the phrase “tacky tourist trap” was used in an Aug. 1 letter to the editor by Tricia Bock. It was not used in the Aug. 30 guest column by Tim Clark.
