FallFare set at Village Green: Proceeds from event benefit church missions, charities

Rain or shine (or snow), the Nashville United Methodist Church FallFare will appear on the Nashville Village Green again this year from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 7.

“All FallFare dollars go to someone in need,” said Chairwoman Georgia Harris. Proceeds are distributed to church missions and local, national and international charities.

Church members have spent the last year making crafts and gifts, and gathering unique items for the sale. Over the last few weeks, members baked pies, made candies and potted plants.

Booths include antiques; the Book Nook; the boutique; the Christmas Shop; Nature’s Bounty; Taste and See, Adopt a Pot; We Made It; My, Oh My, We Love Pie; and Unexpected Treasures.

Goods include handmade knitted, quilted and wood items, fine artwork, homemade candy, pies and other baked items, pickles, jams, apples, antiques, live plants, cut and dried flowers, jewelry, hats, scarves, purses, holiday decor; and yard sale-type items.

A silent auction will include art, theme bags and baskets, event and attraction tickets, gift certificates and handmade items.

The Boy Scouts will offer breakfast and lunch, including the church’s breakfast casserole. The Girl Scouts will offer baked goods.

The Nashville Village Green is one block west of the courthouse at the corner of Jefferson and Main streets downtown.
