A Nashville woman was injured on Dec. 10 in a crash on Greasy Creek Road after she fell asleep while driving.

Rosemary C. Saurer, 73, of Greasy Creek Road, told police that she crossed the center line northbound near Weddle Lane, then ran off the west side of the road and struck two trees. Her Subaru Forester continued into the creek where it came to rest, according to an accident report by Brown County Sheriff’s Deputy Austin Schonfeld.

The crash happened at about 1:30 p.m.

Saurer told police she had fallen asleep while driving, the report said. She was treated at the scene for a complaint of back pain. She was wearing a seat belt.

Her vehicle was towed.
