Kristin Wietecha

MUNCIE — Kristin Wietecha of Morgantown was recently initiated into Phi Kappa Phi, a national collegiate honor society that recognizes excellence in all academic disciplines. Wietecha was initiated at Ball State University. Membership is by invitation only and requires nomination and approval by a chapter.

Ball State dean’s list

MUNCIE — The following Brown County students were named to the Ball State University dean’s list for the fall 2017 semester: Hannah Partridge of Morgantown; and Kayla Snyder and Kortney Thalls, both of Nashville.

USI dean’s list

EVANSVILLE — The following area students were named to the dean’s list for the 2017 fall semester at the University of Southern Indiana: Kiersten L. Brester and Jessica L. McKinley, both of Morgantown; Amy E. Hatchett of Nashville; and Cheyenne L. Ellis of Nineveh.

Undergraduate students must achieve a 3.5 or better grade-point average to be named to the list.
