Louise (Roberts) Knight, age 104, of Nashville, passed from this life Saturday morning, Jan. 20, 2018, at Brown County Health and Living Community.

The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 24 at Bond-Mitchell Funeral Home in Nashville. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 23 and from 9 a.m. until the service Wednesday at the funeral home.

Born Jan. 18, 1914, in Brown County, she was the daughter of John and Emma Samaria (Simons) Roberts. She was a member of Parkview Church of the Nazarene. Louise was known for being friendly and having a sweet way about her as she worked at their grocery store for years. At 80 years old, she still worked part-time at Knight’s Corner for her son, Art. Louise enjoyed doing crafts, gardening, growing flowers and basket weaving, where she won a first prize at the Brown County Fair.

Louise is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Art and Mary Ann Knight, and and two daughters, Jean Sturgeon and Becky Black, all of Nashville; seven grandchildren, Don (Sally) Knight Jr., Mike (Robin) Knight, John (Ginger) Knight, Mark Sturgeon of California, Sandy Ritter, Susan Miller and Gina Breeden; 13 great-grandchildren; and 17 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leo Wilson Knight; a son, Don Knight Sr.; granddaughters, Angie McCammon and Debbie West; two sons-in-law, Richard Sturgeon and Gordon Black; and her sister, Helen Harris.

The family suggests memorial contributions be given to Our Hospice of South Central Indiana, 2626 17th St., Columbus, IN 47201.
