Local residents head west to lead art, yoga retreat

ABIQUIU, New Mexico — Patty Donaldson and Daren Pitts Redman will team up to lead a four-day, multi-sensory retreat at the Ghost Ranch next month.

The weekend art escape, Feb. 16 to 19, will connect participants to nature through hourlong outdoor yoga sessions led by Donaldson, hikes and art workshops led by Redman.

An hour outside of Santa Fe, the Ghost Ranch encompasses 21,000 acres of landscape made famous by painter Georgia O’Keeffe.

Donaldson has studied and practiced yoga and meditation since 1999. She is an adjunct lecturer teaching yoga at Franklin College and owner of Barefoot Yoga Studio in Helmsburg.

A fabric artist, Redman, of Brown County, represents nature and abstract landscapes with quilts.
