To the editor:

Psi Iota Xi would like to send a shout-out and thank-you to everyone who attended our Komedy Spelling Bea & Chili Cook-Off. We raised over $3,300 to provide scholarships to Brown County students as well as art, music, literature and speech and hearing needs in Brown County.

Thank you to our chili cookers who made some wonderful chili for us to enjoy: Jason Kirchhofer, Erin Kirchhofer, Kyle Shelton, Stacy Kidwell, Tim Brown, Susan Fish, Terry Sanders, Hank Henry, Melissa Wallace, Leslie Sims, Andy Reed, Bryan Callon, Helen West, Max Fish, Jon Roock, Jason Asher, Lisa McCloud, John Meyers, Tracy Yeager Stogsdill, Denise Loomis, Keli Bruner and Sally Gindling.

Thank you also to our spellers for putting on a fantastic show: Laura Hammack, Ken Gindling, Mary Wertz, Sheena Brown, Mary Roberts, Al Kosinski, Matt Stark, Ken Alip, Darlene Martin, Marla Jo Mason, Kim Maus, Keith Fleener and Kris Kritzer.

Thank you also to our emcee Joe Wray, our judges Marilyn Fagg and Pam Raider, our pianist George Rice and photographer Heather Stevens. Special thanks go to Dr. Godfrey and her stage crew for a job well done. They are with us all day setting up tables and backstage work and cleaning up afterwards.

We couldn’t do this without donations for the silent auction: 4th Sister Vintage, Amazing Joes, Amanda Mathis, Artists Colony Inn, Best Beers, the Brown County Playhouse, Big Woods Brewing Co., Brown County Inn, Connie Rhodes, Jenny Austin, Brozinni’s, Bucceto’s, Fazoli’s, Johnny Carino’s, Carol’s Crafts, Peggy Thompson, Chili’s, Christy Callon, Hidden Valley Inn, Hillbilly Footwash, Dale Hollandbeck, Hotel Nashville, Jack and Jill Nut Shop, Doug and Lisa Keaton, Steve Shaner, LePetit Cafe, Moonshine Leather, Marie Mooney, Tammy Hawkins, Lisa Shaner, Jill Wray, Donna Tackett, The Educated Otter, Gretchen Tipton, Stephanie Dean, Paws and Claws Pet Gifts, Red Lobster, Erika Bryenton, State Bank Art, The Seasons Lodge, Our Sandwich Place, Out of the Ordinary, Life is Good, Donna Schott, Pit Bull Leather, Shari Brown, Nancy’s Nook, My Sister’s Shoppe, Allison O’Shea, Sue Cody and Nancy Crocker.

Hope to see you all next year.

Thank you.
