Police: Man drove without license

GATESVILLE — A Brown County man is facing a felony for driving a mo-ped after he had lost his license for life.

Brown County Sheriff’s Deputy Jimmy Green reported seeing Ora Allison, 52, of Ford Ridge Road, driving a moped southbound in the 3500 block of Salt Creek Road with a female passenger on March 9.

Dispatch ran Allison’s driver’s license and verified that he was a habitual traffic violator for life and that he had no mo-ped endorsement, his report said.

Green stopped Allison and placed him under arrest. While searching Allison, Green reported finding five cellphones, a pipe with white residue inside and a small rubber container with white residue inside.

Green also found two glass pipes with marijuana residue inside, a marijuana grinder with a “one hitter” pipe inside, and a keychain pill container with marijuana residue inside, the report said.

Allison was charged March 15 with operating a motor vehicle after forfeiture of license for life, a Level 5 felony, and possession of paraphernalia, a Class A misdemeanor.
