Letter: Random act of kindness did not go unnoticed

To the editor:

Too often we hear only disturbing news. We want to share some good news on how good people react in a time of need.

April 19, around noon, we came to the bottom of Snyder Road where it intersects into Old State Road 46. On the old state road was a white pickup truck with a cargo of orange drink in gallon containers secured with plastic wrap. Part of that wrap had failed and some of the containers fell to the pavement. Some broke and some did not break.

A young woman was already parked in the Big Woods drive and was out helping clean up the mess. A young man in a red truck in front of us pulled his truck behind the cargo truck, and he helped with the cleanup, too. It cheered our hearts to see how selflessly these folks helped out.

After the cleanup, the cargo truck continued on towards Mother’s Cupboard. Again, good people doing honorable acts of kindness.

Thank you, to all of you. Your help did not go unnoticed!

Blessings,

Don and Gloria Sooby, Brown County
