To the editor:

The Brown County Shrine Club would like to thank all of the people who attended our charity function, The Blue Grass Bash with The Blue Collar Bluegrass Band and The White Lightning Boys at the Brown County Playhouse. The show and charity auction was a huge success and will benefit many children.

A special thank you goes out to Keith Fleener of the Brown County Democrat who was the auctioneer at the live auction. He did a tremendous job in auctioning off several items from Reynolds Leather and Gifts, Jim and Amy Oliver, Bussert Image Fine Art, Roger Neptune and Eric and Stacey Stiening.

The silent auction at the show was a huge success with many items donated by local businesses, artists, craftsmen and individuals such as The Hob Nob Corner restaurant, Creekside Retreat, Hidden Valley Inn, Brown County Democrat, Bear Hardware, Brown County Inn, Story Inn, Season’s Lodge, Abe Martin Lodge, Nashville Fudge Kitchen, The Chocolate Moose, Brown County Winery, Brozinni Pizzeria, The Wild Olive, Out of the Ordinary Restaurant, NAPA Auto Parts, Dave Thomas, La Sha’s Jewelry Store, Salt Creek Golf Retreat, Custom Prints and J Bob’s, Hesitation Point Bicycle Shop, Nashville General Store and Bakery, Weed Patch Music Company, Pit Bull Leather Company, Harry Bond, Brown County Playhouse, Artist Colony, Midwest Coin, Men’s Toy Shop, Bear Wallow Distillery, Chateau Thomas Winery, Hotel Nashville, MMM Wood Design, Moondance Vacation Rentals, Brown County Forge, Schottguns Wood Shop, Trilogy Gallery, Hickory Hills Studio, Joan Goodman, Gene Cooper, Elisabeth Hinson and Phil Stephens.

Finally, a thank-you to Suzannah Zody and her staff at the Brown County Playhouse, Debbie Dunbar of Two Great Minds, and Brad Zumwalt of Out of the Ordinary for their tireless effort in making the show and auction a success.

The Brown County Shrine Club hopes to continue doing this show and auction next year to raise more money for the children’s hospital.

Sincerely,

Bill Young and Jim Goodman, Brown County Shrine Club (submitted by Young)
