Man closes eyes, crashes motor scooter

A Brown County man was injured when he hit a culvert with his motor scooter.

The crash happened just after 8 a.m. May 14 in the 2400 block of Greasy Creek Road.

Jacob L. Williams, 30, told police he was on his way to work at a hotel in Nashville when he closed his eyes for a moment. He said he then hit a culvert concrete end, causing him to go into a nearby creek, according to an accident report by Lt. Mike Moore with the Brown County Sheriff’s Department.

EMS checked Williams for injuries to his entire body, but he did not want to be transported to the hospital, the report said. He was not wearing a helmet.

His scooter was towed.
