Woman injured after flipping car, climbing out

PEOGA — A 70-year-old Brown County woman sustained leg injuries after she passed out while driving, flipped her car on Sweetwater Trail and climbed out the back door.

Lula Couch, of Mt. Moriah Road, was driving on Sweetwater Trail near Beech Tree Road at about noon June 11 when she lost consciousness. She told Brown County Sheriff’s Deputy Randy Taggart that she woke up inverted in her seat belt. She was able to climb out the rear passenger door of her 2005 Chevrolet Classic, the police report said.

Couch was taken to a hospital for pain to her knee/lower leg/foot area, the report said. Her car was towed.
