Candidates for November election so far

The deadlines have passed for most candidates to declare themselves candidates in the November general election.

Candidates for school board (Dist. 1, Dist. 2, Dist. 3) still have time to file. Their window is between July 25 and Aug. 24. Those offices are nonpartisan. Dist. 1 candidates must live in Hamblen Township; Dist. 2 candidates must live in Jackson Township or voting precinct Washington 4; and Dist. 3 candidates must live in Van Buren Township or voting precincts Washington 1, 2 or 3.

Anyone who needs to register to vote or change their voter registration to a new precinct before the Nov. 6 election can do so through Oct. 9.

For more information about school board seats or registering to vote, contact the Brown County clerk’s office, 812-988-5510.
