GREENSBURG

Linda Gayle Roberts, 64, of Greensburg, passed away Friday, July 20, 2018, with her family by her side at U.C. Hospital.

Born Oct. 15, 1953 in Seymour, she was the daughter of Arnold and Alice (nee Brietfield) Foster. The Seymour High School graduate married Steven Roberts on April 15, 1978 in Brown County and they recently celebrated 40 years of marriage.

She is survived by her husband, Steven; children, Courtney (Bob) Clemons, Bryon Roberts, Shannon (Keith) Allgeier, Stephanie (Patrick) Simkins, Scott (Daniel Fisher) Roberts; nine grandchildren, Ariel, Zach, Emily and Lainey Brunker, Sean and Bryon Roberts, Avarie Allgeier and Teesa and Taidan Simkins; two great-grandchildren, Ryler Campbell and Jasper Simkins; along with one brother, David (Theresa) Foster.

Both of her parents preceded her in death.

A beloved wife, devoted mother and grandmother, and compassionate friend, Linda’s smile was contagious and her hug was always warm. She fulfilled her days baking and gardening. Linda enjoyed spending time with her precious grandchildren. She was an animal lover who could never turn down a rescue or a stray. Linda wouldn’t go a day without calling at least one of her children if not two, just to talk about the weather. At family gatherings, she made sure everyone else got their food first. During Christmas, she let everyone else open their gifts first. Linda loved everyone around her, always putting them first. She will be truly missed by all.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, July 25, with funeral service at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 26, all at Meyers Funeral Home, 1150 State Road 46 in Batesville. Mark Vice will officiate. Burial will be in Dudleytown Lutheran Church Cemetery.
