Teen driver loses control on wet pavement

A local teen was taken to the hospital July 20 after he lost control of his vehicle on wet pavement while driving on Clay Lick Road.

The crash happened in the large curve in the 1100 block near Treetops Drive just after 2 p.m., according to a crash report by Brown County Sheriff’s Deputy Austin Schonfeld.

Cameron M. Elmore, 17, of Peoga Road, told police he was driving north when his vehicle ran off the left side of the road and struck a tree head-on.

He was taken to Columbus Regional Hospital with left shoulder and hip injuries. He was wearing a seat belt. His vehicle was towed.
