LaDonna Mae (Long) Hayworth, 82, passed away Saturday afternoon, Oct. 13, 2018 at Community Hospital South in Indianapolis. She was a resident of Brown County.

LaDonna was born June 25, 1936 in Brown County to her parents, the late James Lowell and Lilly Mae (Myers) Long. She was a 1954 graduate of Helmsburg High School and went on to marry Donald F. Hayworth on June 11, 1955 in Morgantown. He lovingly survives after 63 devoted years of marriage.

LaDonna is also survived by her children, Lowell (Amanda) Hayworth, Kevin (Dian) Hayworth, Bryan Hayworth, Darrell (Beth) Hayworth, all of Brown County, and Jessica (Jason) Hounshell of Columbus; and several wonderful grandchildren; great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by siblings, Lowell, George and Lee Long; grandchildren, Eric Kirby and Melissa Hayworth.

LaDonna retired in 2006 as the owner and operator of Hayworth Abstract and Title Company in Brown County. Prior to that, she worked as an administrative assistant for attorney Tom Zieg in Nashville and in the Brown County Auditor’s office.

LaDonna was a member of Cottonwood Christian Church in Brown County. She enjoyed tending to her flower and vegetable gardens, reading romance novels and going out to eat with her family. LaDonna will be remembered for her delicious cooking and baking, especially her pot roasts, homemade rolls, pineapple upside-down cake, cherry pies and her hidden chocolate.

The Rev. Darrel Miller will conduct a celebration of life service at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 17 at Meredith-Clark Funeral Home Cremation & Personalization Center, 179 E. Mulberry St., Morgantown. Friends may call from 5 p.m. until service time Wednesday at the funeral home.
