SLIGHTLY HAUNTED PUPPET THEATRE: Melchior Marionette Theatre, 92 S. Van Buren St., 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. Friday through Sunday, Oct. 19 to 21 and 26 to 28, with additional shows at 2 and 4 p.m. Saturdays, Oct. 20 and 27, and at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 21. Characters include juggling scarecrow, dancing skeleton and ghost, alien, purple people eater, kitchen witch, concert pianist and Dracula performing a 20-minute show on a Halloween set. Free popcorn. FRIENDLY FOREST: Jackson Township fire station, 4831 Helmsburg Road, 5 to 9 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, Oct. 19, 20, 26 and 27. Games from 5 to 7 p.m. (corn shucking, popcorn eating, become a pirate) with prizes. Walk the forest (weather permitting) from 7 to 9 p.m. With hot dogs, chips, soda, candy, snacks, hot chocolate and coffee. Costumes encouraged. Cost: $1 per child, adults free with a child. SALT CREEK TRICK-OR-TREAT TRAIL: Salt Creek Trail, between Brown County YMCA and CVS, 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 31. Visit candy stations manned by volunteers along three-quarter-mile paved path.
