Brown County: Where to trick-or-treat, when

A rainy forecast has changed some plans for trick-or-treating. Here’s what we know about so far:

  • Officially, trick-or-treating in Nashville is still on for tonight, Oct. 31 from 6 to 9 p.m.
  • Residents of Artist Drive, the most popular trick-or-treat street in Nashville, have decided to move their neighborhood’s trick-or-treating to Friday night, Nov. 2, instead. That’s according to residents of the street who posted the change to Facebook last night.
  • Nashville Christian Church on Van Buren Street also has moved its trunk-n-treat to Friday, Nov. 2 from 6 to 8 p.m.
  • The Salt Creek Trick-or-Treat Trail may be moved inside to the Brown County YMCA tonight. That call will be made early this afternoon, said Andy Rudd of Brown County Parks and Recreation. “If it’s doable, we will try our best to be outside on the trail, but if it is raining we will move it in the YMCA building,” he said. Hours for the trick-or-treat trail are from 5 to 7 p.m.
  • Two Nashville churches have moved their trick-or-treats and trunk-n-treats inside: Nashville United Methodist Church on Jefferson Street and Parkview Church of the Nazarene on State Road 46 East near the park entrance.
  • Nashville Salvation Army will have their trick-or-treat tonight rain or shine from 6 to 9 p.m.
