Man faces felony for domestic battery

BECKS GROVE — A Brown County man is facing a felony after he was arrested for domestic battery a second time since 2003.

On Sept. 25, a woman told police that Jesse Roberts, 39, had pushed her out of a camper where they had been living, according to a probable cause affidavit by Brown County Sheriff’s Deputy Colton Magner.

The victim had redness and thought she would develop a bruise on the right side of her torso due to the fall, the incident report said.

Roberts said that nothing physical had happened.

Roberts was previously convicted of Class A domestic battery in 2003. His Class A misdemeanor charge for this incident was elevated to a Level 6 felony because of that prior conviction.
