Community hymn sing well-attended

The Brown County Pastors’ Fellowship Thanksgiving Hymn Fest took place Nov. 18 at St. Agnes Catholic Church. Members of six churches presented choral offerings.

Singing by groups was interspersed with congregational singing of “All are Welcome,” “For the Fruits of this Creation” and “We Are Called.”

The chancel choir of Nashville United Methodist Church sang “Sweet Chariot” and “I Believe” under the leadership of Tammera Lane.

Mary Cunningham of The Salvation Army of Brown County sang “Revelation Song” and ”Here I Am to Worship.” Pastor Kenneth Alip accompanied by her on the piano and joined in singing portions of the songs.

Members of The Pentecostals of Nashville sang “We Praise Your Name” and “You Are Holy, Lord” under the leadership of Tiffany Holcomb.

The North Salem United Methodist Church young people’s group, God’s Little Lights, sang “Batch of Praise” and “Joy to the World” under the leadership of Pastor Don Bawinkel.

Nashville Christian Church trio, June Floyd, Abby Glasser and Abby Kakavecos, sang “My Hope is in You” and ”I Give You My Heart.” They were accompanied by Director Beth Klaker on piano and Doug Keaton on drum.

A combined choir from St. Agnes Catholic Church and Sandy Hook United Methodist Church sang “Coming Home ” and “Sign Me Up” under the direction of Michelle Farnsworth. Solo introductions to “Sign Me Up” were sung by bass John Coreman from Sandy Hook.

A freewill love offering was collected to benefit the Brown County Pastors’ Fellowship Emergency Fund. Refreshments provided by the Ladies Guild of St. Agnes were served after the service.
