The Brown County Water Utility (BCWU) has an existing loan with the Drinking Water State Revolving Fund Loan Program to make storage and distribution system improvements. The utility will add additional projects including the purchase of property and construction of a new maintenance building adjacent to the current BCWU office. The new building will replace the current open storage shed which is at the end of its useful life. The project will include fill and removal of trees and brush and demolition. The BCWU will also purchase an excavation trailer to assist with utility maintenance work. The cost of these projects will come from unspent SRF loan funds that are available for use.
