David Lloyd Cline

David Lloyd Cline, 80, of Greenwood, formerly of Brown County, passed away Saturday afternoon, Jan. 5, 2019.

David, (known as Lloyd in his youth), was born Aug. 8, 1938 in Dravosburg, PA, to the late David R. Cline and Dorothea Webb Cline. When he was 12 years old, the family moved to Brown County. He graduated from Helmsburg High School where he played basketball. Dave also attended Franklin College. Dave then went on to work for Eli Lilly and Company for over 39 years in the Elemental Analysis Laboratory. During his time at Eli Lilly, Dave was living in Greenwood and raising his family. Upon retirement, he returned to Brown County where he enjoyed his favorite hobbies, golf, fishing and hunting. He loved sharing these activities with grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Ann; his children, David A. Cline (Michele) and Amy Gee (Larry); and his grandchildren, Harmon Gee, Bradley Cline, David Cline, Macy Cline, Hayden Gee and Hadley Gee.

David was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Marilyn Parker; and his first wife, Virginia Snyder Cline.

A memorial gathering will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 25 at Meredith Clark Funeral Home, 179 E. Mulberry St. in Morgantown.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to The Alzheimer’s Association of Indianapolis or to the “Keep Brown County Beautiful” Fund.
