The Chocolate Moose, 278 S. Van Buren St.: One critical violation, to be corrected now: Chili sauce being cooled then reheated to be brought to 165 degrees for 15 seconds on hot plate before being put into steam table. Three non-critical violations, to be corrected now: Label all squeeze-type bottles including the barbecue sauce in cooler unit; product in freezer is unwrapped, not protected from contamination; spoons/scoops in toppings in food that is not potentially hazardous. Handles are to be above the top of the food within the container that can be closed. (routine)

Family Dollar, 55 Chestnut St.: No violations observed at time of inspection. (routine)

The Overlook, banquet area of Salt Creek Golf Retreat, 2359 State Road 46 East: Three critical violations, to be corrected now: Opened flour bag and open bread crumb bag on counter, packaging shall protect the integrity of the contents; employee medication on the table area in the kitchen; a handwashing facility shall be maintained clean at all time. Four non-critical violations: Cleaning needed in can opener blade; cleaning needed on microwave inside upper area, counter shelves, floor by grill, back prep area tables (two), handwashing sink, side of line cooler, refrigerator door front; uncovered product in cooler (peeled and quartered potatoes in pan), all to be corrected now; freezer had no thermometer in line freezer, corrected. (routine)

19th Hole Grill at Salt Creek Golf Retreat, 2359 State Road 46 East: One critical violation, corrected: Sanitizer for counter wiping is too strong. Six non-critical violations: Cook had exposed ponytail and needs a beard net; freezer in grill area has wooden board as holder, wood is not acceptable as a non-contact food surface to allow easy cleaning; cutting board is greasy; cleaning needed behind the grill area and on other surfaces including between doors on sandwich prep cooler, all to be corrected now; hot water in hand-wash sink won’t turn off, being corrected; freezer lid is coming apart, to be corrected by Jan. 15.
