Nathaniel Marcus Cain, 38, of Kouts, passed away Friday, Jan. 25, 2019.
He was born Sept. 22, 1980, in Valparaiso.
Nathaniel is survived by his son, Marley J.M. Cain of Valparaiso; father, Marcus A. (Sandy) Cain of Nashville; mother, Terri (Douglas Strehler) Lagenour of North Judson; sisters, Laurel (fiance, Shane Waldrop) O’Connor of Valparaiso and Mallory Strehler of North Judson; aunts and uncles, Cathy Lagenour, Kathleen (Frank) St. John, Cheryl (Dick) Cain and Jack Cain; cousins, Justin, Neil, Matt, Dakota and Sierra Cain, Lacey Hamilton, Holly St. John; and many other cousins, extended family members and close friends; and his best friend, Greg Goatee.
Nate was a United States Marine Corp veteran and served two tours in Iraq. He worked as a technician at Georgia Pacific. His hobby was having hobbies, and he enjoyed many varied outdoor activities. Nate enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
Private family services were conducted.
