SENIOR NEWS: Meals move to Willow Manor next month; Hickory Ridge calendar

Senior meals move to Willow Manor in March

Beginning Thursday, March 1, Thrive Alliance will serve free hot meals for senior citizens in the Community Room at Willow Manor Senior Apartments, 72 Willow St. Meal service starts at 11:30 a.m.

Meals are free for diners 60 and older. The Brown County school system prepares them.

“Serving meals at Willow Manor will enable Thrive Alliance to reach more vulnerable adults and develop more program options,” said Elizabeth Hummell, Thrive Alliance nutritional coordinator, in a press release.

The senior nutrition program provides balanced meals that contain the nutrition an aging adult needs.

Meal costs are subsidized through Title III of the Older Americans Act. Financial contributions are welcome.
