The future of Brown County’s musical arts community will be on display this weekend.

On Saturday night, March 9, more than a dozen young musicians, many of them students of Kara Barnard, will perform at the sixth annual Brown County Youth Music Showcase at the Brown County Playhouse.

The show is a fundraiser for BETA (Brown County Enrichment for Teens Association). BETA provides activities for local junior high and high-schoolers on Tuesdays after school.

Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. for bidders to peruse items in the silent auction. A live auction also will take place during the show, featuring artwork by M.K. Watkins and Bill Hastings.

Individual performers on the showbill include Mackenzie Crum, Hunter Tolle, Izzy Miller, Jesse Augsberger, Alexa Garduno, Ryan Watters, Elio Miller, Zelton Kay, Miah Ferran, John Oliver, Parker Scott and improv vocalists.

The show starts at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $12 for adults and free for children 12 and younger, available at the door or in advance at browncountyplayhouse.org.
