Phillip K. Jackson

Phillip Kraig Jackson, of Nashville, died unexpectedly Saturday, March 16, 2019.

He was born in Indianapolis on Nov. 9, 1952, son of the late Phillip and Dorothy (Holmes) Jackson.

Phil was a rural mail carrier in Brown County for 35 years. He married Pamela Schrougham in Bloomington. They would have celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary on March 18, 2019.

He enjoyed working in the outdoors, woodworking, I.U. basketball and, more importantly, spending time with his family.

Phil is survived by his loving wife, Pamela; his son, Brandon (wife, Missy) Jackson; five grandchildren, Chandler and Shea Jackson, Alex Jackson, Nick Wicker and Kyle Wicker; his four siblings, Steve (Barb) Jackson, Brooks (Kathie) Wilson, Julie Jackson (Willy) Arnold and Scott (Laura) Jackson.

He was preceded in death by his son, Michael Jackson.

Phil was dearly loved by his family and will be greatly missed.

Visitation for family and friends will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, March 23, in New Life Community Church, 1450 State Road 135 North. A celebration of Phil’s life will follow at 1:30 p.m.
