Regarding clear-cut of area along State Road 135 North:

Moving forward, let’s hope that Brown County Parks & Recreation will hire skilled restoration specialists for a long-term project that will include, among other necessary tasks:

1. Consulting recent and historic records to learn the likely content of the impacted area’s seed bank.

2. Monitoring regrowth to observe need for early removal of invasive species and continual nurturing of native woodland species.

3. Promoting the establishment of a healthy native woodland by wisely planting appropriate native stock when/where needed.
