Robert ‘Dale’ Kent

Robert Dale Kent, 88, of Bloomington, passed away at Richland Bean Blossom Health Care Center in Ellettsville on March 14, 2019.

He was born June 14, 1930 in Belmont to Charles and Ethel (Deckard) Kent.

Robert was drafted into the United States Army in 1951, where he spent time in Germany before being discharged from duty in 1953. He worked at RCA for 34 years, was a member of the American Legion in Bloomington, and enjoyed gardening and working on his small farm.

Robert is survived by his children, Curtis Kent (Angie) and Judy Phillips (Bill Brown); grandchildren, Amber Kent, Morgan Coyle (Patrick), Bryan, William, Jessica, and Kayla Phillips; and great-grandchild, Quillen Phillips.

Robert was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Neaomi Jeanette (Baxter) Kent; parents; and siblings, Opal, Leo, Charles “Edmund” Kent and Martha Rose.

Visitation was March 17 and service was March 18, all at The Funeral Chapel of Powell and Deckard, Bloomington. Burial followed in Rose Hill Cemetery, Bloomington.
