Four services at church will celebrate Easter

HAMBLEN TWP. — Four services will celebrate Easter at Unity Baptist Church, 7361 Spearsville Road.

At 7 p.m. Thursday, April 18, an in-depth presentation of events that surrounded the Last Supper will be given by Pastor Lee Snider. Communion will end the service.

At 7 p.m. Friday, April 19, music led by the adult and youth choirs and a short sermon by the pastor will signify a time of waiting. A sunrise service will be celebrated at 8 a.m. Easter Sunday, April 21, followed by breakfast served by the men of the church. An Easter worship service will begin at 9:30 a.m.

The church is 3 miles northeast of Bean Blossom.

Parks and rec sets date for egg hunt

Brown County Parks and Recreation’s Easter egg hunt will begin at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 20 at Deer Run Park on McLary Road. It is for ages 2 to 10. The Easter Bunny will be at the free event, which is open to the community. Children should bring their own baskets.

Nursing home hosting Easter egg hunt

Brown County Health & Living Community will host an Easter egg hunt starting at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 20. It is for children up to age 12. Prizes and treats will be given to all participants, and one bicycle will be awarded per age group. Visitors from other communities are welcome. Participation is free. BCH&L is at 55 E. Willow St.

Sunrise service, egg hunt set at church

HELMSBURG — A sunrise service is planned at Brown County Community Church, 2370 E. Main St. It will start at 7 a.m. Easter Sunday, April 21.

The service will be followed by a pitch-in breakfast. Sunday school will take place at 9:30 a.m. and a morning worship service will begin at 10:30 a.m. After worship, an egg hunt will be offered for children. Toddlers through sixth-graders are welcome to participate.

Easter brunch planned at church

BEAN BLOSSOM — An Easter brunch will be served at 9 a.m. Sunday, April 21 at Bean Blossom Community Church, 3036 State Road 135 North.

Easter services set at Gospel Lighthouse

MORGANTOWN — The Gospel Lighthouse will feature southern gospel singers Judith Montgomery and Family at 10 a.m. Easter Sunday, April 21. The church is on the corner of Hoosier and Sycamore streets. All are welcome.
