Three injured in State Road 46 East crash

Three people were injured in a crash on State Road 46 East last month.

On April 21, Gerald Noland, 59, of Nashville, told police he was driving east on 46 East and had stopped to turn left into the Brown County Antique Mall when he heard tires squealing.

Noland said he was at a standstill and had his left turn signal on when his vehicle was rear-ended by another vehicle driven by Duane Mosier, 65, of Bedford, according to an accident report received May 6 from the Nashville Police Department.

Mosier and his passenger, Leilani Mosier, 59, told police they did not see the vehicle stopped and began braking about 30 yards before. Nashville Police Officer Justin Anderson reported that Mosier couldn’t avoid Noland’s vehicle.

Nolan and the Mosiers were all taken to hospitals by ambulance with complaints of back pain.

All involved were wearing seat belts. The Mosiers’ vehicle was towed. During accident cleanup, 46 East was closed in both directions.
