Letter: Annual garage sale to support local 4-H program

0

To the editor:

The Brown County Extension Homemakers are sponsoring their annual garage sale Friday, June 14 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday, June 15 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the fairgrounds’ green exhibit building. This is a great way for our community to show support for our county’s 4-H youth.

The proceeds of the booth rentals and the Homemakers booth all go to the 4-H camp/trip fund. This helps the kids attend fun educational camps or learning trips. In some cases, this is the only outing the children get over summer break. Those families with more than one child involved in 4-H can benefit from this fund.

You can help by donating items for the garage sale, renting a booth ($20), or buying our stuff on the 14th and 15th. This is a great location to sell your unwanted things or find a treasured item. For booth forms, contact the Purdue Extension office or call 812-988-5495
