Maddison is the relatively new CEO of the Brown County Community Foundation. Her prior experience includes account executive for SAS, the world’s largest privately owned software company, serving Indiana state and local government. She was also association manager for the Indiana Cable Telecommunications Association where she managed operations and was also a registered lobbyist. Before that she was a legislative assistant to Indiana Senate Majority Caucus. She earned a bachelor’s degree in political science and criminal justice at Ball State University and a master’s degree in public affairs from Indiana University Purdue University Indianapolis.

Alex earned a bachelor’s degree history from Purdue University at Fort Wayne. After college, he spent eight years working in Indiana state government and politics, from an intern in the Indiana State Senate — where he met Maddison — to legislative and public policy director for the Bureau of Motor Vehicles. After eight years laboring in government, he changed direction and earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Marian University in Indianapolis. He is studying for his licensure exam and plans to begin work in pediatrics, eventually obtaining advanced practice licensure to open his own practice.

Maddison and Alex have some shared interests, such as outdoor activities like hiking, and complimentary interests, such as cooking and gardening. Also among their shared interests are child welfare and development, economic development and a desire to serve, which is what Rotary is all about: “Service Above Self.”
