An Indianapolis man was injured on June 30 after he crashed his motorcycle while trying to turn into the Bean Blossom Overlook.

Brandon Loy, 29, told police he was slowing down to make a left turn into the overlook when the front wheel of his motorcycle locked up and skidded on the wet pavement, according to an accident report by Sgt. Bill Southerland with the Brown County Sheriff’s Department. Loy had to lay his bike down on the road.

He was taken to the hospital for treatment of a dislocated/fractured elbow/lower arm, according to the report.

Southerland noted that speed did not appear to be a factor because the motorcycle only traveled about 15 feet on its side.

The motorcycle was towed. Loy was wearing a helmet.
