A 65-year-old motorcycle rider was treated at the scene after he crashed while driving on Salt Creek Road July 11.

Edwin Carlton, of Arlington, was driving north on Salt Creek Road near Brown Hill Road when he started into a corner and his handlebars began to wobble, causing him to lose control, an accident report by Nashville Police Officer Evan Painter states.

The crash was reported just before 5 p.m.

The motorcycle fell to the left and slid off the road, carrying Carlton with it, the report states.

Carlton had reported abrasions on his arms and face. He told EMS that he was OK and just needed “patched up” before heading home, according to the report.

His motorcycle was removed from a field by a wrecker before Carlton rode it home.

He was not wearing a helmet.
