To the editor:

Please join me in offering a word of thanks to the utilities department of Nashville for paving Old State Road 46 from Artist Drive to McGee Road.

In addition to eliminating scores of annoying potholes, the resurfacing has also reduced the element of risk at the intersection of Old 46 and Snyder Road. This will be especially beneficial when thousands of visitors, unfamiliar with local road hazards, drive to the new Hard Truth Hills property this fall.

Many local residents also use Old 46 to circumvent in-town traffic en route to Columbus and Hawthorne Drive. The improved road surface will make our lives a little bit easier now.
