To the editor:

A big thank-you to the Nashville Town Council for installing speed bumps in the 200 block of North Jefferson Street. I’ve watched cars, trucks and motorcycles whizz past at high speeds, ignoring the common practice of neighbors, friends and tourists to walk along the street with or without dogs and children. Ideally, this will help avoid an accident waiting to happen.
