Commercial customers with Knight’s Trash Removal were notified this week that Rumpke is their new service provider.

Knight’s, based in Brown County, sold certain waste collection assets to Rumpke Waste & Recycling. Effective Aug. 1, Rumpke will provide former Knight’s commercial customers with weekly trash collection service.

Knight’s will continue to serve residential customers in the area.

“Our family has appreciated the opportunity to provide more than 300 Brown County businesses with friendly, reliable service,” said John Knight, owner of Knight’s Trash Removal, in a press release. “We want to make sure our customers continue to receive the same quality of service they deserve. We are confident Rumpke will provide just that.”

“We’re working closely with Knight’s Trash Removal to ensure a seamless transition with uninterrupted service,” said Eric Curtis, region vice president at Rumpke. “I’m confident our team will provide top-notch service to our new customers. As a fellow family company, Rumpke takes great pride in providing the best customer experience possible.”

Rumpke will continue to collect Knight’s customers on their current service day and will contact customers via mail if collection schedule changes are necessary.

Rumpke is one of the nation’s largest privately owned residential and commercial waste and recycling firms, providing service to areas of Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio and West Virginia.
