Two drivers were injured in a head-on collision Aug. 18 on State 135 South at Seelmaer Hill near Sunshine Ridge Road.

Sarah Drake, 46, of Lee Turner Road, was driving north on 135 South, coming down the north side of the hill when her vehicle was struck head-on by 26-year-old Christopher Brown of Mooresville. Brown was driving up the north side of the hill, according to an accident report by Brown County Sheriff’s Deputy Austin Schonfeld.

Schonfeld reported that Brown admitted to crossing the center line and striking Drake’s vehicle. He told police he crossed the center line due to poor tire tread.

Both vehicles sustained “significant” front end damage, the report states.

Brown had a cut on his forehead and was treated at the scene by EMS.

Drake had complaints of neck, back and leg pain. She was taken to a hospital by ambulance.

Both vehicles were towed. Brown was cited for operating a vehicle without a valid driver’s license.
