A 27-year-old Greenwood man was treated at the scene of a crash after he lost control of his vehicle while driving on wet pavement Aug. 31.

The crash was reported just before 1 p.m. on Mt. Liberty Road near Valley Branch Road, according to an accident report by Brown County Sheriff’s Deputy Dan Acres.

Jonathan McCoy told police he was driving east when he lost control because of a rain shower. He crashed into a utility pole.

He was treated at the scene by EMS for head pain.

His vehicle was towed. It was marked “unknown” if McCoy was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
