VAN BUREN TWP. — Police say a 22-year-old Brown County man was not wearing a seat belt when he injured his head in a crash on Harrison Ridge Road.

Brown County Sheriff’s Deputy Chad Williams reported that Shay Brown, of Mount Liberty Road, was driving north near Bethany Road when he started into a left curve and his passenger side tires went off the edge of the road. His Dodge Ram pickup went into loose gravel, which pulled him further off the road and caused him to strike a tree, the accident report said.

The crash was reported just before 7:30 a.m. Sept. 9.

Brown was treated at the scene by EMS for minor bleeding to his head. His vehicle was towed.
