Elsie “Marie” Fuson, 93 of Nashville, died Saturday morning, Sept. 14 in I.U. Health, Bloomington Hospital. She was born Oct. 17, 1925 in Akron, Ohio to Ernest Cowger and Elsie Gregory Cowger. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include her children, Dennis (wife Judy) Fuson of Portage, Michigan, Cheryl Hardin of Stockbridge, Georgia and Donald Fuson of Gaylord, Michigan; five grandchildren, Chris Hardin, Chad Fuson, Rachael Potter, Sarah Sipes and Benjamin Fuson; and five great-grandchildren and soon to be six. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, William “Parker” Fuson.
Memberships include the Nashville Christian Church and she had been active with the Brown County Historical Society.
There will be a gathering of family and friends on Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2019 from 4 to 6 p.m. in Bond-Mitchell Funeral Home, 1682 State Road 135 North. Funeral Services are scheduled for Thursday, Sept. 19, 2019 at 11 a.m. in the funeral home, burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery.

Abigail is a Brown County native dedicated to the community in which she has been raised. She joined the Brown County Democrat newsroom in 2019 while studying English at IUPUC, where she graduated in May 2020. After working as the news advertising coordinator for nearly two years, she became reporter in September of 2021. She took over as editor in the fall of 2022.
