Bonnie L. Poynter

Bonnie L. (McGuire) Poynter, age 67, passed away, Tuesday, Oct. 1, 2019 at her home in Brown County.
She was born April 27, 1952, in Franklin to the late Thomas “Pat” V. and Ioleen (Isaacs) McGuire. Bonnie was a 1970 graduate of Brown County High School and later married Ronald “Joe” Poynter on February 1, 1974 in Martinsville. He preceded her in death on Dec. 12, 2017 after 43 loving years of marriage.
Bonnie had a love of animals. In her youth, she would show horses and enjoyed spending her free time trail riding. She enjoyed visiting with friends at Brownie’s Restaurant in Bean Blossom and will be remembered most for her ability to tell a good story.
Bonnie will be missed by Aunts Jean Pieper of Franklin and Norma Young of Wisconsin, nieces and nephews Cheryl (Kevin) Doty of Trafalgar, Jerry Anderson of Indianapolis, Theresa Anderson of Morgantown, Matthew (Laura) Anderson of Morgantown, Sheila McGuire of Oregon, Tom McGuire of South Carolina, and Kate McGuire of Kansas.
Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents, husband Joe, siblings Carole Sue Anderson and Thomas Allen McGuire. Nephew Patrick McGuire and niece Kari McGuire.
A private family Memorial will be held at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to Meredith-Clark Funeral Home in Morgantown.

Abigail is a Brown County native dedicated to the community in which she has been raised.
