GNAW BONE — Two people were treated at the scene by EMS after a Nashville man’s vehicle struck another when he lost traction in the snow last night.

The crash was reported just before 8:30 p.m. in the 7700 block of State Road 46 East, near Old Nashville Road.

James Williams, 60, told police he was driving east on 46 East when heĀ  lost traction, causing the rear end of his vehicle to come around, cross the center line and strike a vehicle driven by 56-year-old Tuesday Brinson of Ellettsville, according to an accident report by Brown County Sheriff’s Deputy Josh Stargell.

The road was snow-covered and snow was still falling, Stargell noted in his report.

Brinson told police she was driving west when she began to see Williams’ vehicle fishtailing. She let off the gas pedal and tried to get over to the edge of the road as far as possible, but couldn’t avoid a collision.

Brinson and Williams were checked out by EMS at the scene, but were not transported to the hospital.

Brinson’s vehicle was towed due to disabling damage.

Both drivers were wearing their seat belts.
