A 41-year-old Brown County woman was taken to a hospital on Jan. 26 after she crashed her car while driving on Clay Lick Road.

The crash was reported just before 2 a.m. near Less Traveled Road, according to an accident report by Brown County Sheriff’s Deputy Jacob Gibson.

When police and EMS arrived on scene, they reported finding the vehicle on its passenger side with the driver, Lindsey Huesman, still inside.

The front windshield was removed so Huesman could get out of the vehicle, the report states.

Huesman was driving north on Clay Lick Road approaching a curve when the crash occurred. She told police she couldn’t remember what happened, but that she may have fallen asleep while driving.

The report states that Huesman’s vehicle crossed into the southbound lane before overcorrecting and going off the east side of the road. The vehicle then struck a tree, which caused it to flip over on the passenger side.

Huesman was taken by EMS to the hospital for a head injury. She was wearing a seat belt. Her vehicle was towed.
