After more than four months of being out of commission, the traffic light at Van Buren and Main streets in downtown Nashville was restored this afternoon.

The intersection had been a four-way stop since Dec. 17 when the light was run into by a box truck traveling north on State Road 135. The driver ended up being charged with criminal mischief for intentionally hitting the pole.

INDOT workers installed the pole last week and came back today to install and hook up the traffic lights.
